Professional Biography
Richard F. Clare, PMP®, CBAP®, OCP
Rick Clare is the Business Analysis Practice Director and a Senior Instructor for PMCentersUSA, with over 16 years of experience in the Systems/Business Analyst field and over 20 years of experience as a technical lead/trainer. Rick developed the Business Analysis training materials for PMCentersUSA in accordance with the newly created International Institute of Business Analysis, the IIBA®. These courses are in alignment with the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge, the BABOK®. He also created an additional course, Technical Skills for Business Analysts-An Examination of the Technical Skills needed to Properly Interact with the Development Team, which highlights the BA’s role as a conduit between two worlds, that of the business staff and the developers that will actually implement the solution.
Additionally, Rick led the IIBA's Chapter Development Committee and orchestrated work on a new IIBA book about managing Business Analysts. As a result of his effort, in 2010, Rick was appointed to the IIBA's Senior Leadership Team as VP Chapters.
Rick graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. He is an Oracle Certified Professional and has had extensive training in both Oracle and UNIX, and he was one of the first Certified Business Analyst Professionals (CBAP®) in the world.
