Project Management
In August 1999, an agreement was signed between PMCentersUSA and the University of Pittsburgh's Center for Executive Education, forging a relationship that enables us jointly to provide professional development courses in project management and business analysis on a much larger scale. All courses are presented in conjunction with the Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business and are designed to provide high-quality professional development instruction to meet the needs of the business community. Through our affiliation with the University of Pittsburgh's Center for Executive Education, we offer three tracks in project management professional development.
PMCentersUSA, in association with the University of Pittsburgh, offers three tracks toward professional development in project management.
The Master's Certificate Track consists of six focused courses in project management. When our program is completed, students receive a Master's Certificate from the University of Pittsburgh, which designates that they have been successful in their study of project management at this level.
The PM Certification Preparation Track offers these same six courses, but adds a seventh course into our program, PMP® Examination Preparation, presented for those seeking to take PMI's CAPM® or PMP® certification exams. This course reviews all materials presented in the program through a series of sample exams and instructor explanations of correct answers.
The most comprehensive track, the Advanced Track, includes the six core classes, the PMP® Examination Preparation, as well as three advanced classes: IT Project Management, Managing Multiple Projects, and Turning Around Problem Projects. The advanced classes assume that participants are knowledgeable in project management principles and techniques addressed in the Master's Certificate in Project Management Program.
The Advanced Mini Track includes the the following three advanced courses: IT Project Management, Managing Multiple Projects, and Turning Around Problem Projects. The advanced courses assume that participants are knowledgeable in project management principles and techniques addressed in the Master's Certificate in Project Management Program.
