Project Management Overview
An Introduction to Project Management Theory and Techniques

Project Management improves the chances of successfully completing projects within the constraints of time, budget and quality. While project management originated in advanced-technology areas, its usefulness extends well beyond its original engineering, construction and product development applications. In today’s business world, project management has become essential for individual and organizational productivity excellence.

This virtual training course prepares you to immediately start implementing the principles and techniques of modern project management in your business and work environment. This course will use a sample project, providing attendees with the opportunity to practice project management best practices. Class exercises will include development of key project documents including a project charter, stakeholder analysis, communications plan, work breakdown structure, schedule and budget, and risk management plan. Attendees will also determine the cost and schedule status for the sample project and deal with project changes.
